Sweet Lemany

I must thank pipe-bag maker Jackie Boyce for opening the door for me to the music of Peter Bellamy. Hearing Jackie sing ‘Abe Carmin’, a song composed by Peter, made me an instant fan. Peter was a truly inspiring figure. He made music that transcended genre and did it with an air of cool and the look of a rockstar. This is his version of an English song associated with the Copper family of Dorset. Lemany is said to be a term of endearment, used to woo one's lover on Leman day, the beginning of the annual marriage period.
